Pigs don't just give society meat but also help with health issues.

Pig livers are used in humans. Other important organs such as hearts, heart valves, and intestines are often used in humans.  But when people lose  large amounts of skin, pig skins are often used. Besides organs, pigs give us  insulin that diabetics use to control glucose levels. Also pigs give us blood fibrin to help our blood clot.

Besides pharmaceutical by-products, pigs give us things you would never expect. The first item is something we eat and probably should have less of, CANDY! Stearin, which is found in some gum and candies, is also provided by pigs. Next is glycerin, which is used for explosives. A pig's hide (skin) is sometimes used for leather goods. Now when you think of marshmallows, do you think of pigs? Pigs give us gelatin that we use in marshmallows. Now for all the music or the artist lovers, pigs help make violin strings, and their hair is sometimes used in paint brushes. So pigs give us meat, pharmaceutical by-products, and everyday things.
